Sac Valley Equestrian Patrol

Promoting the equestrian lifestyle through education and community service

Interested in Joing the Sacramento Valley Equestrian Patrol?

Welcome! We encourage you to come ride with us, attend our meetings, and try us out. Trail riders, this means you!

We are a group of riders committed to:

  •    trail patrol
  •    public service
  • and having fun

Before being invited to join, we’d like to get to know you.

We’re seeking people with:

  • good horsemanship
  • leadership
  • and sound judgment.

SVEP members serve as ambassadors to the community, so they must represent the club in a professional and friendly manner. Members have the ability to work well with others and are looking for a fun and positive experience.

Our policy is:

  • come to the meetings. If you decide you want to join, fill out a membership              application. Fee is $25/year + membership in the RLE Historical Society.
  • after applying, your 2 month probation period begins. We ask you to ride with       members a minimum of 3 times during those 2 months so we all get to know         each other better.
  • Then horse and rider can undergo basic testing to assure our trail riders are          “safe and sane.”

Rio Linda /Elverta meetings are at 6:30 pm the 2nd Thursday of each month

at the Rio Linda Fire Station, 6609 Rio Linda Blvd.
